Responsible for overseeing the entire hiring process for all departments within hotel.  Maintains open communication between all department heads and staffing requests.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have 3 – 5 years of high volume recruitment experience in a fast paced environment using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. employment laws and practices.
  • Experience in creating and managing social media properties (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc.) including daily monitoring, posting and content development.
  • Must be able to work with personnel from all levels.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends when needed.

 

 

  • Updates and monitors staffing requests from department heads on a daily basis using HRsmart Applicant Tracking System.
  • Ensures all jobs are posted daily using all recruitment sources to include:  in-house announcements, appropriate Internet sources, social and professional networking sites, company website, professional organizations and print ads, etc.
  • Uses Revinate to post on social media sites.
  • Prepares and emails postings to all recruitment contacts.  Oversees internal postings on a daily basis.
  • Interviews all prospective candidates for positions within hotel with the exceptions of Banquet Bartenders On-Call and Banquet Servers On-Call.
  • Interviews all transfer candidates for internal postings.
  • Reviews all resumes.  Schedules interviews for qualified candidates from resumes.
  • Coordinates all internships/externships for hotel.
  • Oversees the scheduling of panel interviews.
  • Supervises the preparation of weekly Staffing Guide and Openings List.  Distributes Staffing Guide on a monthly basis.
  • Reviews all criminal background checks.  Sends letters of notification when hotel takes adverse action due to background check report.
  • Reviews and approves final pre-employment paperwork on all hires to include background checks, reference checks, drug testing results, etc.
  • Prepares all salaried offer letters to include promotions.
  • Sends out announcements regarding newly hired managers and newly promoted hourly supervisors.
  • Reviews new hire Associate Action Forms to ensure accuracy of information. 
  • Conducts interviewing training for new leaders regarding the employment process including training on the Applicant Tracking System for designated hiring managers.
  • Supervises and conducts all performance reviews for Human Resources Representatives and Interviewer.  Inspects work regularly.
  • Responds to all unemployment claims and represents hotel in unemployment hearings when directly involved.
  • Prepares annual budget for all interviewing and advertising expenses.
  • Completes monthly turnover report as well as quarterly turnover report, headcount analysis and respective monthly recaps.
  • Orders temporary personnel from outside agencies when needed, maintains records, and ensures proper payment of invoices.
  • Keeps current with updates to Applicant Tracking System.
  • Coordinates internal labor pool for hourly associates.
  • Ensures legal work authorization for all hotel associates using e-verify to check I-9 documents.  Follows up on expiring authorizations.
  • Maintains Security officers’ Class D licenses ensuring no expirations.
  • Coordinates Work Opportunity Tax Credit program with outside agency and all qualified associates.
  • Networks to improve and increase recruitment sources to fill openings.
  • Researches and recommends new recruitment sources.
  • Writes and updates job descriptions.
  • Writes standard operating procedures for employment related policies and procedures.
  • Organizes all hotel-wide job fairs.
  • Attends job fairs of interest to hotel.
  • Coordinates drug tests and motor vehicles checks for company drivers twice a year.
  • Ability to perform all job tasks associated with Human Resources Representative and Interviewer positions.
