Catering Sales Assistant

Located just three and a half miles from downtown Atlanta, Druid Hills Golf Club is an exclusive private club situated in the heart of a historical neighborhood near Fernbank Museum and Emory University.  Founded in 1912, we have a rich tradition of offering a full array of amenities and services to our members and their guests. We are looking for an exceptional Catering Sales Assistant.

The Catering Sales Assistant will be responsible for answering phone calls and emails to members and clients accurately and in a timely fashion; Effectively selling and planning events; Booking appropriate rooms based on member and client needs; Ensuring proper guarantee counts, final room layouts and the like are obtained in a timely manner; Assists Director of Catering with weekly distribution of function packet; Organizes office filing systems; Acts as a host/hostess for major club events; Implements aggressive, on-going sales campaigns to alert members to the club's banquet operations and capabilities; Explores and contacts potential new sales sources, and completes additional duties as requested.

This is a full-time position and it requires working flexible hours to include weekends and holidays. A typical work week is Tuesday through Saturday.

Education:

Requires a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a private club, hotel, or resort Banquets and Catering.  Excellent written, oral and computer skills are essential, and the ability to communicate on several levels is required.

Physical Requirements:

Occasional bending, stooping, lifting and pulling.

Frequent repetitive actions.

Continuous walking and standing.
