This position is responsible for greeting and assisting arriving/exiting guests in accordance WITH THE BRAND STANDARDS with an emphasis on hospitality.
Assists guest with luggage/baggage.
Valet parks guests' cars if requested by guests.
Is responsible for informing quests of all safety precautions.
Develops a thorough knowledge of the hotel property; hotel staff; hotel services with hours of operation; guestrooms including locations, views, amenities, features, types, etc. Shares this information with guests as they are escorting guests to their rooms.
"Sells" the amenities of the hotel, i.e., restaurant, club, pool, health club, etc.
Is aware of what is taking place in the surrounding area in order to inform guests. Acts as an information center for guest by recommending shopping areas, recreation facilities, theaters, restaurants and points of interest.
Accurately gives pertinent directions and information regarding the immediate and surrounding area.
Drives guests in hotel van in local area, or arranges alternative transportation as needed.
Keeps the entrance to the hotel, lobby, bell stand and bell closet clean.
Keeps luggage carts neatly arranged in their designated areas at all time.
Maintains cleanliness of the luggage carts.
Uses extreme care and proper loading habits in order to protect guest property.
When DTS notifies associate that a guest does not answer a wake-up call, the associate will follow up by going to the guest's door and knocking. If no answer, bell staff should enter the room (announcing themselves) to ensure the guest's safety.
Reports tips weekly.
Picks up/delivers guests valet laundry.
Handles all guest problems with courtesy, concern and sincerity.
Reviews group cover sheets and event sheets daily to ensure that they are informed of all meetings/groups.
Answers the telephone promptly and courteously by saying "Good Morning (afternoon, evening), Guest Services, this is (your name), how are you today?"
Greets all guests as they enter/exit the hotel; handles any guest questions and problems within empowerment guidelines.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Responsible for knowing and abiding by all department, TPG and Marriott policies and procedures.
