Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements and measures overall strategic direction of revenue management processes, policies and procedures for the company
  • Takes an active role in the development and measurement of all rates, promotions, packages, and other selling strategies through all channels
  • Works closely with regional revenue management teams and directors of revenue management to implement and measure revenue management and distribution strategies
  • Through a deep knowledge of the hospitality industry, brings new technology options and partners to bare and if appropriate, implements and measures success
  • Leads overall direction and development of distribution strategy, processes and relationships for all channels, including:
    • Branded web sites
    • Reservations Call Center
    • Global Distribution Systems
    • Online Travel Agencies
  • Develops and manages internal distribution KPIs and develops strategies to meet established channel revenue and cost goals
  • Leads product management function for branded websites to drive performance in conjunction with Brand Management team
  • Manages internal Reservations Call Center Team to achieve appropriate KPIs
  • Proactively builds constructive working relationships with National and Regional Sales, Brand Management, Operations and other Teams to establish clear revenue goals which can be s successfully acted upon and measured
  • Develops close working partnership with Business Intelligence team to facilitate measurement of revenue and distribution strategies
  • Takes an active role in the establishment of hotel revenue plans
  • As needed, interfaces with ownership groups to outline overall market trends, strategic direction and property level tactics
  • Works with the Development Team as needed on growth related projects
  • Creates and manages a departmental budget
  • Collects and provides multi-varied information about the competitive environment to a variety of internal customers
  • Continuously seeks knowledge and intelligence that generate positive change

Technical Skill Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Excel
  • Deep, first-hand knowledge of revenue management strategies and techniques
  • Familiarity with all distribution technologies, including PMS, CRS, GDS and other related systems
  • Excellent working knowledge of national sales processes
  • Experience with legal and contractual agreements
  • Able to create, implement and analyze manual and automated reports
  • Comprehensive knowledge of management strategies and techniques
  • Knowledge of all corporate support/functions
  • Able to develop and deliver effective training
  • Working knowledge of marketing functions

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Extensive revenue management experience in the hospitality industry
  • Deep knowledge of GDS and Internet distribution
  • Direct experience in hotel Sales and Marketing
  • Multi-property experience
