Job Summary:
* Hires, trains, develops, disciplines and manages the staff of the Housekeeping and Maintenance Department of the resort.
* Performs administrative duties; assigns and directs weekly schedules and daily duties of the Housekeeping and Maintenance staff, procures product, performs payroll duties, audits and performance reviews of staff.
* Manages all the financial and operational aspects of the Interior Cleaning and Maintenance and Common Area Maintenance Programs. These elements include budgeting, inventory, reporting and costs control.
* Manages 3^rd party contractors such as: Landscaping, Housekeeping Temp Labor, Maint. and Mechanical Contractors.
* Effectively manage the laundry department.
* Ensures that overall unit and common area cleanliness, as well as the resort units are maintained in working order, are within standard as outlined in our Quality Control Program. Effectively manage the housekeeping and maintenance process, in conjunction with front office and other support departments, to ensure owner satisfaction.
* Participates in meetings as part of the resorts leadership team.
* Active participant in resort financial reviews and planning.
* Participates in regional property visits with RVP and RM.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Three to Five years in Hospitality Maintenance or related industry.
* Two to Five years in a Supervisory or Management capacity.
* Three plus years general experience in Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and small appliance repair.
* Strong contractor and vendor negotiation skills.
* OSHA Training.
* EPA Certification.
* 3+ years budgeting and large scale purchasing experience.
* Knowledgeable in ADA requirements.
* Knowledgeable of power, water and sewer distribution.
* Working understanding and ability to read blue prints.
* Knowledgeable in fire codes and fire protection.
* Organizational Skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
