SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Responsible for P&L and managing the daily operation of the resort while maintaining established costs and quality standards.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible to ensure quality of associates, associate satisfaction and associate safety results are improved year after year (reduction of injuries, reduction of turnover, increased associate satisfaction).
- Responsible for “Overall Service Standards" online guest/owner surveys, RCI Gold Crown designations, prevention of issues and immediate resolution of issues is expected.
- Responsible to ensure quality assurance audit and shopper experiences at a passing level.
- Implementation and following all updated company standard operating procedures and updated company metrics.
- Responsible for financials related to resort operations and retail operations, based on cost per occupied and available unit, variance versus budget measurements to be met or exceeded.
Responsible for end of month training reports, daily stage ready, department/outlet/area/office space visitations, quarterly reports as required and annual reports are expected to be on time and accurate to include the following:
- Perform appraisals of assigned resort managers
- Coach, counsel, and develop all resort assigned management staff
- Manage and achieve all areas of budgets by implementing proper controls
- Maintain personal contact with owners/guests of resort, focusing on the Hospitality Happens Here method.
- Maintain assets, local marketing of products and services, development of human resources and owner/guest satisfaction of the resort
- Administer the continued career development of staff, and maintain the resort’s high level of customer service
- Responsible for all Board of Directors’ communication and relations
- Involvement in all areas of resort operations.
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of four years hospitality management experience within a large high-end resort or hotel is required, preferably in the capacity of Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
- Must have experience working closely with financials and the budget process.
- Knowledge of the daily operations of front desk, reservations, yield management and problem resolution.
- Knowledge of vacation ownership highly desirable.
- Outstanding written and verbal and communication, organization, problem-solving and planning skills.
- Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must also have proven leadership ability as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
