Assistant General Manager

The Assistant General Manager contributes to the hotels commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork and must be the kind of person who appreciates high standards of excellence. The position is responsible for the success of the Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering and Food and Beverage teams.
Our Ideal candidate will be a self-starter, motivator and detail-oriented. Previous hotel management experience is strongly preferred. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as the hours for this management position will vary. A valid driver's license and insurability is required.
Key Responsibilities:
To ensure that our guest are served in a friendly and professional manner, maximizing guest satisfaction and delivering a memorable experience.
To assist the General Manager in the smooth operation of all departments
Be knowledgeable of the day's business and outside events that will impact business within the hotel
Lead training courses, developing standard and themed training which is carried out within all departments
Works closely with other department leaders to ensure all financial, service standards and employee relation goals are met
Participates in hiring, training, scheduling, reviewing and disciplining of all staff with the support of their department leader
Ensures that guest service standards are met and developed to maintain consistent levels of outstanding guest service
Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of Hotel Management experience
Must work well in a team and display energy and enthusiasm in all personal interactions
Must be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of customer service
Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Must be flexible with regards of hours and days worked including holidays
Must have an excellent command of the English language in written, verbal and non-verbal communication
