Position: Area Director of Marketing for Loews Regency Brand

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for repositioning Loews Regency as the preferred provider of outstanding world-class service to clients in New York City
  • Responsible for contacting group business that yields the highest occupancy and average rate attainable over the maximum desired periods of the week or month, in accordance with the sales and marketing plan, to maximize profits in all revenue producing areas
  • Responsible for sales solicitation on behalf of the hotel and for the representation of Loews Corporation through direct solicitation calls on high end accounts, solicitation on potential new accounts and concentrating on appropriately rated groups in assigned market segments with substantial rooms and food and beverage business and who utilize our function space in a manner consistent with your goals and objectives
  • Responsible for achieving the strategic goals through pricing decisions, reporting and analysis and education
  • Responsible for the direct management of the Director of Sales and the Revenue Manager and highly involved in the management and development of the entire sales team

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Senior Level Sales & Marketing professional with minimum 10 years experience as property level Sales & Marketing Division Head
  • Experienced in developing and executing a successful sales & marketing strategy for a luxury hotel opening or relaunch of an existing hotel in the NYC market
  • Extensive knowledge in the luxury transient market segment with strong emphasis on premium, business travel and international subsegments
  • Understands the exclusive executive level and international incentive group business
  • Highly skilled in driving revenues through strategic pricing, packaging, inventory management and direct sales efforts
  • Has established relationships with key industry luxury travel partners that can be leveraged to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Strong leadership, decision making and communication skills to lead a multi-dimensional marketing, pr and sales relaunch
  • Understands the dynamics of customer demographics and able to work with operations to create programming that drives the customer experience
  • Track record of executing successful pr and marketing plans with third party partners in spa and restaurant areas  
  • Dynamic Leader that is able to attract top level sales talent to build a high performing team
