Chef Manager/Food Production Manager
Location: US - MI - Southeast Michigan
We are a rapidly growing contract management company dedicated to outstanding customer service, looking for highly motivated and talented individuals who have comprehensive knowledge of the food service industry, particularly in a senior community setting. We are seeking experienced candidates for a number of locations in southeast Michigan.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares hot entrees, soups and various other food items following established preparation sheets and provided recipes for dining room service, healthcare center, cafeteria and special functions.
- Responsible for budgetary and financial performance within the dining segment of the site.
- Responsible for completion of site reporting and essential documentation as outlined.
- Works independently, with minimal supervision.
- Responsible for mentoring and guidance of staff.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Associates Degree and or equivalent experience in food preparation
Minimum of one to two years food production management experience required
Intuitional food production management and supervision experience a plus, preferably in a senior housing community setting
Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation and handling technique
Knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and practices
Exceptional attention to detail
Contract food service management experience a plus
