Location: Supports Washington, D.C

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all phases of planning, budgeting analysis and reporting relating to the operations as well as control account expenditures and obtain maximum utilization of account resources. Individual must also develop short and long-term financial and operational plans in support of the overall objectives of the company, monitor and maintain performance, product and service quality. This position requires up frequent travel including overnights.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the district in compliance with established company policies and procedures, and in conjunction with the Senior Vice President's guidance
  • Ensures consistent and equitable administration of personnel policies, procedures and guidelines to facilitate effective employee relations
  • Extensive travel required to perform operational audits of units and design improvements to optimize financial performance, operational productivity and to ensure conformance with government and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes regarding food storage, preparation, sanitation and record keeping
  • Monitors and ensures development of realistic and accurate forecasts for all units
  • Makes proper use of customer food preference surveys
  • Attend appropriate food service committee meetings
  • Attend quarterly client meetings
  • Participates actively in the sales process; conducts client negotiations and coordinates documentation of contract changes
  • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree; Culinary/Hospitality degree a plus; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8-10 years progressive hospitality management experience
  • Multi-unit management experience required
  • Must be able to read and interpret business records and statistical reports
  • Must be able to analyze and interpret policies established by administrators
  • Must be able to make business decisions based on financial reports and similar facts
  • Must be able to deal with the customers and employees with tact and courtesy
  • P&L and financial reporting experience
  • Strong leadership, coaching and training skills
  • Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Office and POS
  • Comfortable with up to 60% travel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Related experience in upscale, high volume food service operations
  • Strong catering experience required
  • Food Handler’s Certification
