Job Description

Summary : Summary : To develop and implement sales activities of the hotel in accordance with the Marketing Plan and assigned market segment; maintains information flow to other departments regarding the sales function to maximize customer satisfaction and overall profitability of the hotel. Fosters and promotes hotel patronage by performing the following duties:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Works on Group Corporate and Active Military markets.

Consults newspapers, trade journals, and other publications to learn about contemplated conventions and social functions.

Organizes prospect files by listing information, such as names of officials and plans for conventions, to be used for promotional purposes.

Directs workers engaged in preparing promotional correspondence with travel bureaus, business and social groups.

Confers with department heads to discuss and formulate plans for soliciting business.

Contacts executives of organizations to explain services and facilities offered by hotel and to solicit their business.

Plans and executes weekly sales calls and maintains third party planner relationships.

Plans and prepares for local sales blitz and feeder city calls.

Job Requirements

Experience required
