Position: Housekeeping Manager

Position Summary:

The Housekeeping Manager of a 580+ room luxury business hotel in Center City Philadelphia will coordinate weekly housekeeping schedules, processes time off requests, ensures the housekeeping office and storeroom are kept neat and organized. Other responsibilities include:  

Planning:     

Makes weekly schedules for all team members

Makes assignments in advance for special events, such as meetings, dinners, dances, etc, that might affect the lobby staff

Schedules special lobby cleaning projects

Sets agenda for meetings

Maintains staffing levels for all assigned team member

Process time off requests

Maintains par levels of supplies and initiates reordering of supplies as required

Utilizes the preventive maintenance program for all equipment

 Organizing:

Responsible for organization of workforce and ensures all assigned tasks and properly completed

Maintains chart for all lobby special cleaning projects for the day, week, and month

Ensures that the Housekeeping Office and Storeroom are kept neat and organized

Coordinating:

Interfaces with all other departments in the hotel as necessary to ensure that Housekeeping responds to any needs

Coordinates lobby maintenance projects with Engineering

Directing:    

Analyzes daily room turn, functions in the lobby, or any other event affecting the AM, PM, and Third Shifts and makes staff or procedural adjustments as necessary

Counsels team member for both positive and negative aspects of their performance, including accidents and safety  violations

Fills out the accident report form for any team member accident or injury, and ensures that the team member receives treatment if requested

Required Skills and Experience:

* This position requires 2-3 years hotel management experience in a four-five diamond luxury environment
* Candidates must be extremely organized, multi-task oriented, and possess great leadership skills
* Refined verbal and written communication skills required
* Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
* A true desire to engage and delight both guests and team members.
