Accounting Manager / Controller

This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining written accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
Reconcile key general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
Provide accurate and timely cash flow data to General Manager.
Supports budget and forecasting activities.
Ensure A/P & A/R handled in a timely manner
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Calculate & Analyze variances to budget & report such to General Manager & Department Heads.
Process payroll.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Previous Hospitality experience
B.A. / B.S. in Business with an emphasis in Accounting
Three to Five years prior supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area.
Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -pace setting.
Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel.
Ten key by touch required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
Experience with all aspects of MAS 90 (reporting, monthly close, a/p, a/r, etc.)
