JOB TITLE: Night Porter - Weekends Part Time
SUMMARY:
The Night Porter Attendant is responsible for providing a positive first and last impression to guests when they arrive and leave the hotel. The valet attendant will park all cars, quickly, safely and with the utmost of care and caution. Also responsible for delivering guest items as well as food from Room Service.
Use the five hospitality standards - eye contact, smile, speak first, engage in polite conversation, and use the guest's surname.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Follow set procedures for parking all cars.
Act as doorperson when not parking cars.
Promote all hotel functions and facilities to all guests.
Clean garage and surrounding areas of litter, debris, papers, cans, etc.
Greet every guest upon arrival.
Assist and thank guests upon departure.
Call cabs for guests.
Transport luggage from guest's car to hotel; and transport luggage from hotel upon departure.
Perform Bellperson duties when they are unavailable or at lunch.
Record each and every car that is parked in garage and maintain up-to-date log.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have a valid state driver's license and good driving record.

Job Requirements
Ideal candidates must posses proof of a clean driving record and the abilitiy to safely and efficiently operate both a standard and manual transmission.
This is an On-Call position. On-call employees are regarded to be part of a contingent workforce that is scheduled based on business necessity.
Valet Parkers are eligible for tip income. It is our company's expectation that tipped employees conduct a full declaration of their tip income for tax purposes to ensure compliance with both State and Federal regulations.
