We are seeking a seeking a Regional Director to manage and oversee the operations of 8 to 12 locations of a multi-unit business in the hospitality/food service industry. This position will be based in either St. Louis, Columbia, Kansas City or Springfield. This is a highly visible position in the Company and will be responsible for the overall direction, execution, coordination, and evaluation of the business units and will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Full P&L responsibility, to include budgeting and planning, inventory management, ordering of supplies, labor management, cost control/containment, P&L analysis and reconciliation, local marketing and revenue enhancement, and corporate reporting to achieve the company’s philosophical, operational, and financial goals
- Overall direction, coordination, evaluation, and development of staff
- Primary responsibility to develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Develop and maintain a program designed to promote a positive team spirit among employees.
- Monitor all business units for compliance with company policies, as well as state and federal regulations
- Serve as a company contact in matters of employee and/or client conflict resolution
- Establish goals and objectives for the region and each business unit. Conduct regular follow-up to ensure progress.
- Attend and actively participate in Company sponsored meetings and training sessions.
- Prepare and deliver business presentations, as required.
The successful candidate will be a team-oriented individual with the following background, experience and qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in related field
- 5 to 7 years progressively responsible experience in a retail environment (food, clothing or convenience stores)
- Outstanding leadership skills with demonstrated ability to build, manage, and motivate a team
- Experience working with multiple locations over a dispersed geographic area
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially with reports, business correspondence, performance appraisals and corrective action documentation. Able to communicate with people at all levels of the organization
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong planning, organizational, and personnel management skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Valid Driver’s license and good driving record and must be able to travel ~50%
