Job Description

Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals. This will consist of telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communications. Ability to develop and implement revenue generating ideas and maximize profitability. Prepare and execute strategies to meet/exceed guest satisfaction targets. Create and implement quarterly hotel key selling objectives; analyze current/potential market and sales trends and coordinate all activities to maintain and increase revenue and market share through room night production and increased rate, and increase business volume during off-peak periods.

Ensure participation at trade shows and key sales missions/events locally and nationally to promote new business opportunities and increase sales for the hotel. Create and develop special events and sales blitzes to showcase the hotel to potential clients.

Actively participate in sales presentations, property tours, customer meetings and industry related events. Participate in sales meeting, service culture activities and other meetings as required.

Job Requirements

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, varying work schedules may be required reflecting the business needs of the hotel.

Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.

Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Extensive knowledge of competitive hotels (upper, direct and lower tier).

Complete knowledge of hotel rooms and meeting related services available to guests.

Good working knowledge of the Delphi System.

Analytical approach to problem solving.

Ability to analyze financial statements and marketing data.

Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations

Desire to participate as a part of a team.

Ability to establish and nature relationships with internal and external customers.

Submits weekly and monthly activities reports to DOSM for review.

Education
High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience

Sales experience preferred but not required.
