Job Description

The Doubletree by Hilton Omaha Downtown is seeking a Sales Manager.   The hotel is growing and seeking a dynamic Group Sales Manager!  Applicants must have a proven sales track record and innovative sales prospecting skills.  Hilton brands experience preferred.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
This is an advanced professional and sales position responsible for increasing all segments of business and transient hotel room revenues through a combination of marketing and direct sales strategies.  These include, but are not limited to, market analysis, database marketing, direct prospect, account management, special promotions, and public relations activities.

Other Requirements include:
* Highly developed communication skills to negotiate, convince, sell and influence potential clients.
* Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently.
* Ability to identify and develop accounts
* Ability to act independently with minimal or no supervision.
* Computer skills, including but not limited to accounting programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Delphi

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience required.  Must have strong customer service and closing skills.  Ability to work effectively with independently and as part of a team.  Must have excellent business communication skills and negotiation/interpretation skill of contracts.  Strong time management skills needed.  Ability to direct/motivate sales department to meet and exceed goals.   Excellent Public speaking skills.  Ability to relocate.  Must be able to work 50 hours/wk with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
