Job Description

Millennium Hotel Minneapolis is currently undergoing a 20 million dollar renovation! This will include all guestrooms, meeting and public spaces including technology upgrades and HVAC. New room product will first come online in April/May 2013, as will meeting space. Millennium will host an official grand re-opening in mid-2013 as part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations!

As part of the strategic management team at Millennium Hotel Minneapolis, the Director of Revenue Management plays a key role to ensure that the hotel is maximizing hotel revenue. You will motivate and lead our reservations team ensuring achievement of the overall hotel objective for customer satisfaction and financial performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Assist, direct and implement all hotel rate programs inclusive of contracts, negotiated, preferred and global.
* Prepare and monitor weekly reports for the purpose of conducting a Yield meeting.
* Monitor, record and report Reservation Call Conversion statistics monthly for both in-house and reservations call center.
* Assists in creating and developing marketable packages and promotions.
* Loads packages and promotions into Synxis.
* Works in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing monthly to compile an accurate 90 Day Forecast for Group, Tentative and Definite, and Transient.
* Acts as primary contact for local representatives associated with Wholesale accounts, i.e. Expedia, Orbitz, Priceline, etc.
* Review trends associated with Channel Production Report, monthly, and recommends strategies for increasing share and capture.
* Records and reports Volume Account, Discount, Consortia, FIT, and Package production via a month end report.
* Daily responsibility for updating actual and forecast projections associated with the Day by Day Strategy Boards.
* Monitors weekly RateView report and updates rate programs subject to demand and competitive set placement.
* Monitors hotel availability and insures matching inventories through all reservations channels.
* Daily, weekly and monthly review of Group Cut-off Dates and updates Sales Managers on pending room commitments.
* Trains, develops and communicates with reservations staff and supervisor on all future reservations promotions, rate changes, demand factors and restrictions.
* Receives and finalized all inquiries pertaining to No Show disputes and processing of any approved negotiated changes.
* Provide yield team with weekly meeting notes in order to analyze past decision and results
* Analyze daily production from Top Corporate Accounts and Consortia, adjust group ceiling based on transient demand.
* Update Delphi MAR.
* Track and monitor Avail/Sell/Denial Reports.
* Recognize high demand periods and create strategies to insure maximization of ADR and Occupancy.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in revenue management for full service hotel.
- Previous hotel convention sales experience desired.
- Excellent motivational, organization and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (both verbal & written)
- Detail oriented and strong time management skills
- Flexible and energetic with the ability to work well in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Proven leadership and coaching abilities.
- Knowledge and proficiency of sales software program (Delphi experience preferred)
-Periodic travel requirements.
