Job Description

The Doubletree by Hilton Sacramento has a opportunity in our Housekeeping Department. We are an extremely busy hotel, with 448 rooms, 32,000 sq.ft meeting space, full service restaurant, two bars and located across from the Arden Fair Mall. This position will:

-- Assist the Director of Housekeeping to lead the housekeeping department - the housekeeping department is responsible for the cleaning and maintaining of 448 rooms, as well as all public areas and the laundry operations.
--Provides supervisory guidance, and helps in the hiring, training and motivation of staff.
--Makes suggestions and recommendations for all matters pertaining to associates such as hiring, firing, and change of employment status

This position reports directly to the Director of Housekeeping

Job Requirements

--3-5 years of progressive supervisor level housekeeping experience; Hilton family experience a plus
- Must be able to evaluate the quality of room cleanliness. 
-Knowledge of the standards for housekeeping techniques such as cleanliness standards, how to make beds, chemical usage, etc. 
-Able to identify circumstances or incidents that require the notification and/or approval of others. 
-Ability to do the work of supervisors. 
-Must have strong customer service skills.  
-Must have excellent business communication skills and strong time management skills needed.
- Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects or assignments.
