Summary: Responsible for generating top line revenue to meet or exceed budget expectations. Work closely with the General Managers to develop an effective business/marketing plan. Responsible for account management for 2 Marriott Brand properties.
Essential Functions:
1) Assist with making sales environment conducive to learning. Participate in associate functions, client and guest events, and community events.
2) Assist with developing and maintaining the business/marketing plan.
3) Qualify leads and prospects gained from tele-prospecting, cold calls, sales blitzes and other lead sources
4) Qualify in-house guests.
5) Make outside sales calls.
6) Participate in joint sales calls with the VP of Sales and General Manager.
7) Cultivate lead sources.
8) Network with prospects to uncover other decision makers.
9) Establish and maintain close contact with Top and Target accounts through phone calls, appointments, tours, written correspondence and entertainment. Assess future and current needs of the client.
10) Assist with rate and services decisions.
11) Attend weekly sales meetings.
12) Complete weekly and monthly sales call reports and submit to General Manager
13) Build and maintain rapport with competitor hotels, lead sources, clients and local community.
14) Maintain accurate database, sales files, and trace system on Top and Target accounts.
