Accountability: Supervision of Housekeeping Department staff (Includes Room Attendants, Laundry Attendant, Houseman & Public Area Attendants) to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, and compliance with Marriott/RIMV & Island Hospitality Management Policies and Procedures.
Ownership: Housekeeping Supervisors are responsible for day-to-day operations of the entire Housekeeping Department to include Room Attendants, Laundry Attendant, Houseman & Public Area Attendants.

Housekeeping Supervisor(s) will motivate the associates to train, develop, resolve problems, provide open communication with departments, and discipline as appropriate.
Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.
Manage the maintenance/sanitation of the guestrooms, lobby, public space, pool area, fitness center, public restrooms, associate restrooms, parking lot, & any other areas that need service to protect the assets, comply with regulations and ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
Housekeeping Supervisor(s) will maintain all Marriott Brand Standards daily in the assigned workstation as well as the entire hotel. For example: (Maintain quarterly deep cleaning, mattress rotation, etc.)
Housekeeping Supervisor(s) will ensure all associates are working safely and in compliance with safety standards set forth by OSHA and Island Hospitality Management. This includes, but is not limited to, safe lifting standards, chemical handling and use of proper PPE
.
Housekeeping Supervisor(s) will assist the Housekeeping Manager in the inspection process for all guestrooms daily to maintain quality of work, and ensure STEPS program is happening in hotel.
Housekeeping Supervisor(s) will document two inspections per associate daily and document for STEPS program. Section Supervisors are to do all VD to VR rooms and 1 stay over per suite attendant in there section.
Ownership:
Housekeeping Supervisor(s) will ensure training / retraining of all new hires and existing employees through the Cleaning procedures to meet Marriott/RIMV in the department.
Housekeeping Supervisor(s) will enforce all Island Hospitality Company Policies that are related to the Handbook and also implemented by the General Manager. For example: Uniform Policies, Attendance, and Performance (Code of Conduct).
Each Housekeeping Supervisor(s) will be responsible for all rooms in their assigned workstation(s). Workstation(s) will consist of a minimum of 64 rooms per day.
Each Housekeeping Supervisor(s) will be responsible for a minimum of 4 Suite attendants per day and all rooms assigned to those Suite Attendants.
Each Housekeeping Supervisor(s) will coordinate housemen in order to meet cleanliness standards, meet guest expectations and ensure completion of daily goals.
Each Housekeeping Supervisor(s) will coordinate all maintenance requests, and ensure their timely completion, with the engineering staff.
Each Housekeeping Supervisor(s) will be responsible for GSS in their assigned workstation as well as departmentally overall.
Each Housekeeping Supervisor(s) will be responsible for proper set up of guest room amenities. This includes, but not limited to, items lost due to guest damage or wear and tear. Equipment carts will be provided to all Housekeeping Supervisor(s).
Housekeeping Supervisor(s) will assist the Housekeeping Manager in maintaining the Internal Audit Procedures for the department to ensure a passing score for each inspection.

Housekeeping Supervisor(s) are expected to meet with the Housekeeping Manager bi-weekly to review GSS Standings, GSS Action Plans and compliance with Marriott Brand Standards for quarterly cleaning projects.
