As an Assistant Beverage Manager you would assist the manager in the oversight of the activities of the beverage department, ensuring compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards, helping to ensure the high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize financial profitability.  Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Training, supervising and directing staff in all beverage operations.  communicating effectively, verbally and in writing, providing clear direction to staff.  Assigning and instructing Beverage staff in details of work.  Observing performance and encouraging improvement as necessary.
  • Communicating  with guests and team members, listening and understanding requests, responding with appropriate actions and accurate information.
  • Fielding guest complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation in order to choose the most effective solutions.  Making decisions and taking actions based on previous experience and good judgment..
  • Developing and implementing basic operating standards for Beverage service in compliance with federal, state, local and Hilton practices.
  • Maintaining established inventory by ordering all liquor and supplies in accordance with business needs.

 

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of Food & Beverage management experience, including knowledge of banquet and beverage operations.  Must have flexible availability.
