Alaska Denali Travel is looking for a highly organized customer service oriented Assistant Manager to join our Denali Backcountry Lodge Team inside Denali National Park during the 2013 Summer Season.

Essential Functions:

  1. The primary responsibility of the Lodge Assistant Manager is to provide the highest quality of service to the guests at all times.
  2. Assist General Site Manager in Lodge operations
  3. Provide direction, training, and development of employees.
  4. Works with guests to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution.
  5. Enforce all Lodge policies and procedures.
  6. Supervises day-to-day activities of employees and assigns responsibility for specific work or functional activities.
  7. Being especially visible to guests during peak times of service, and to provide immediate assistance to guests as requested.
  8. Familiarization and ability to train and / or provide guidance in all lodge department processes.
  9. Managing guest service supply inventory.
  10. Waiting on guests during meals including the serving of alcoholic beverages.
  11. Gathering and forwarding guest information and requests to appropriate lodge departments for their immediate action.
  12. Periodic driving / guiding of guests to Wonder Lake in a fifteen (15) passenger van.
  13. Disseminates policies to employees, gives work directions, resolves problems, assists in preparing schedules, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work.
  14. Daily communication with reservations office to ensure accuracy and usability of Lodge manifest.
  15. Operate motor vehicles as required.
  16. Must have current First Aid and CPR certification.
  17. Must have current TAMS card.
  18. Able to move and lift supplies, equipment, and tools weighing 50 pounds or more.
  19. Other duties as needed.
