Alaskan Denali Travel  is looking for a highly energetic customer service oriented Park Road Bus Driver to join our Denali Team during the 2013 summer season.

Essential Functions:

  1. The primary responsibility of the Park Road Bus Driver is to provide the highest quality of service to the guests at all times.
  2. Works with guests to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution.
  3. Providing accurately interpreted natural and cultural history narrative of Denali Park Road experience trip.  Serving refreshments to guests during stops.
  4. Implementing operational processes that support and control the transportation system, such as vehicle maintenance, dispatching, and regulatory administration.
  5. Transport passengers and goods to and from Lodge, Cabins, Denali train depot, and other properties as assigned.
  6. Safe and efficient operation of a Class B Commercial vehicle equipped with air brakes, adhering to all DOT regulatory requirements and ADT policies.
  7. Checking manifest while loading and unloading buses.
  8. Assist disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
  9. Clean and service vehicles with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.  Complete pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspection / checklist.
  10. Inform manager when vehicle needs additional maintenance.
  11. Complete trip / shift / driving documentation log.
  12. Answer inquiries pertaining to ADT services, shopping, dining, tourism, entertainment, and providing travel directions.
  13. Communication with reservations office as needed to ensure accuracy and usability of manifests. 
  14. Load / Unload passenger baggage, supplies, food, mail, other items transported on the bus.
  15. Must have current First Aid and CPR training.
  16. Able to move and lift supplies, equipment, and tools weighing 50 pounds or more. 
  17. Supervisor may assign other duties as needed.
  • The ability to communicate clearly information and ideas so others will understand while safely driving.
  • Thorough knowledge of driving/roadway laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays and weekends.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Can effectively solve problems..
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Class “B” CDL and Passenger and Air Brake Endorsement
  • Two years of prior commercial driving experience preferable in DNP Road
  • Clean driving record
  • CPR & First Aid certifications
  • Present a professional image, clean cut and well groomed.
