Server

Alaska Denali Travel is looking for a highly energetic customer service oriented Server to join our Denali Cabins Team during the 2013 Summer Season.

Essential Functions:

1. The primary responsibility of the Server is to provide the highest quality of service to the guests at all times. 
2. Bartending and serving at guest meals.
3. Must have current TAMS and Food Workers Card. 
4. Serving guests during meals, including alcoholic beverages.  Seating guests, providing them with the menu of the day, making appropriate meal and beverage recommendations (wine, iced tea, soda, etc.), and answering questions regarding food preparation.  Relaying the food information to the culinary team.  Serving the guest the food requested, using proper rules of etiquette.
5. Setting buffet lines for breakfast and lunch.  Plating and attractively displaying food items.
6. Setting and maintaining beverage and snack stations throughout the day.
7. Bussing and cleaning dining room, lounge, tables, buffet lines, beverage and snack stations throughout the day.
8. Assist culinary team as needed.
9. Supervising or performing basic lodge cleaning / vacuuming / maintenance.
10. Manage guest supply inventory.
11. Able to move and lift supplies and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more. 
12. Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment and follow all HACCP and applicable food regulatory rules and procedures. 
13. Implementation of safety and sanitation practices as required by AK DEC and the ADT. 
14. Supervisor may assign other duties as needed.
