Golf Sales Manager

The position is also directly responsible for generating revenue via cluster sales to meet and/or exceed revenue goals in golf group, rooms and food and beverage for the Grand Golf Resorts of Florida. In addition, this position is required to provide continued enhancement of the resort culture in accordance with resort standards and to maintain effective relationships with all associates throughout the resort in order to provide a strong, supportive and objective environment. The position requires a detail oriented, organized, and adaptable individual to manage all aspects of the direct sales process for the Grand Golf Resorts of Florida. Responsibilities will include development of action plans and the ability to operate in a dynamic, continuously changing environment. The position requires excellent communication skills - both written and verbal and computer skills.
- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
- Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance
- Participate in daily business review meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings.
- Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers
- Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
- Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers
- Professionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events.
- Participate as a team player with all departments.
- Provide constructive feedback to all departments.
- Be a leader and a role model to all employees.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to identify and develop accounts Extensive knowledge of meeting room capacities, audio-visual and any other pertinent details as they relate to sales
- Knowledge of hotel and competitive market.
- Must possess basic computational ability.
- Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, accounting programs, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and sales-related skills.
