Alaska Denali Travel is looking for a highly energetic customer service oriented Logistics Expediter to join our Team at our property Denali Cabins during the 2013 Summer Season.

Essential Functions:

  1. The primary responsibility of the Logistics Expediter is to provide the highest quality of service to the guests at all times.
  2. Works with guests to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution.
  3. Drives a van, minibus, lightweight truck, or cube van to transport passengers and goods to and from Cabins, Lodge, Denali train depot, McKinley Village, Denali Visitors Center, and other properties as assigned.
  4. Assist with loading of Lodge busses. 
  5. Delivery, loading, and unloading of luggage, products, supplies, equipment, and trash.
  6. Stock snacks, sodas, coffee, etc. to be consumed in route to DBL.
  7. Assist disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
  8. Assist continental breakfast attendant as needed between bus departures.
  9. Organize turn around of Lodge bus when necessary.
  10. Organize and maintain logistics space, including logistics storage, walk-in cooler, and logistics ramp / deck.
  11. Answer inquiries pertaining to Alaska Denali Travel services, shopping, dining, tourism, entertainment, and providing travel directions.
  12. Daily communication with reservations office to ensure accuracy and usability of manifest. 
  13. Daily communication with Lodge before and after each bus departure to give report on any special circumstances.
  14. Prepare order  for snacks, drinks and any other item needed for consumption on the bus or for smooth operation of your department.
  15. Cater to any and all needs of the Lodge as requested, keeping in mind that you are the life line for this remote location and therefore logistically challenging Lodge.
  16. Collect and send mail for Lodge guests, and staff.
  17. Clean and maintain work area.
  18. Complies with all ADT policies and procedures.
  19. Able to move and lift supplies, equipment, and tools weighing 50 pounds or more. 
  20. Supervisor may assign other duties as needed.

  • Commercial Driver License is preferred.
