Director of Sales

GLASGOW Investment is looking for a Director of Sales for a brand new 85 rooms Fairfield Inn & Suites with 2000 Sq. ft. of meeting space, in Spring, TX. (30 Miles North of Houston on I-45). The Director of Sales is responsible for all sales and marketing effort and must have knowledge of generating meeting and banquet business. The Director of Sales will develop and implement innovative marketing and sales strategies to ensure the hotel is ramped up in a timely manner. The top indicators of success for the position are; achievement of revenue and market share goals, timeliness in the hotel ramp up and growth of new accounts. The Director of Sales will serve as an important team leader and will report to the General Manager.
Education; Experience and Knowledge:
*4 Plus Yr.’s in direct Hotels room sales
*Hotel, General Business or Marketing degree required
*Four to five years of hotel sales experience required
*Online marketing research knowledge and experience to identify sales leads
*Must possess strong organization skills with the ability to do multi-tasking
* Banquets experience preferred
* Must possess strong computer skills including a working knowledge of the Marriott PMS ; Sales Pro; and Microsoft Word and Excel.
*Must possess excellent verbal; written and presentation skills.
* Must have great persuasive ability to negotiate and close contracts in a timely manner
* Designs and implement innovative marketing programs
