Alaska Denali Travel is looking for a highly energetic people oriented Shuttle Driver to join our Team at our property Denali Cabins during the 2013 Summer Season.

Essential Functions:

  1. The primary responsibility of the Shuttle Driver is to provide the highest quality of service to the guests at all times.
  2. Drives a van, minibus, lightweight truck, or cube van to transport passengers and goods to and from Cabins, Lodge, Denali train depot, McKinley Village, Denali Visitors Center, and other properties as assigned.
  3. Assist with loading and unloading of Lodge busses and motor coach.
  4. Delivery, loading, and unloading of luggage, products, supplies, equipment, and trash.
  5. Stock snacks, sodas, coffee, etc. to be consumed in route to the Lodge.
  6. Assist disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
  7. Clean and service vehicles with fuel, lubricants, and accessories. Maintain bus wash station. Wash vans and shuttle daily. Complete pre-shift vehicle checklist.
  8. Inform maintenance manager when vehicle needs additional maintenance.
  9. Complete trip / shift / driving documentation log.
  10. Assist expeditors and maintain logistics space, including logistics storage, walk-in cooler, and logistics ramp / deck.
  11. Assist with landscaping particularly the front parking lot, front of the office, Lounge & Learn, coach stop, and restaurant.
  12. Maintain Lounge & Learn and clean and tidy manner.
  13. Empty all trash cans in the front area of the property including office, Lounge & Learn, coach stop and restaurant.
  14. Water hanging baskets and plants of the property.
  15. Assist other departments as needed to facilitate the smooth operation of Denali Cabins.
  16. Collect and send mail for all lodges, guests, and staff.
  17. Supervisor may assign other duties as needed.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License with a Passenger Endorsement is required.
  • Valid Medical Certificate, including the date of the physical and expiration date of the certificate.
  • Required to possess and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
  • Thorough knowledge of driving/roadway laws and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays and weekends.
