Gideon Putnam Resort & Spa is a National Historic Landmark features 124 guest rooms, a fine dining restaurant, casual grille and café, meeting space for groups up to 500 and Roosevelt Bath & Spa, which offers a full menu of spa services. Visit the website at www.gideonputnam.com to learn more about the property. * Responsible for overall management of the kitchen including daily production, supervising cooks, monitoring food quality, and coordinating and actively participating in event operations and works as a team with the dining room staff. * Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen to Comply with State and local Heath Department Regulations. * Oversees inventory of food product and coordinates product ordering and receiving within corporate specifications. * Plan menus including daily specials, maintaining financial responsibility for the menu mix.

* Associates Degree or equivalent experience preferred. * Three years Culinary Arts experience. * Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred. * Familiar with monitoring of food and labor cost, menu development and costing. Familiar with ordering and inventory procedures. * Working knowledge of MS office applications. * ServSafe Certification required. * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. * Able to stand and walk 100% of time in a fast paced and busy environment.
