Job Requirements

The Assistant General Manager position at Red Roof Inn helps function as one of the entrepreneurial leaders of the hotel. Each Assistant General Manager has discretion over the decision making for the entire operation, in conjunction with the General Manager. The five major departments the Assistant General Manager is responsible for are: Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Laundry and Sales. The Assistant General Manager can use his/her business savvy to operate these departments as each sees fit. Outside of the management of each individual department, the Assistant General Manager is responsible for leading each employee in providing high quality customer service. It is necessary to exceed guest's expectations and Red Roof Inn demonstrates its commitment through our service guarantee.

Requirements for this position consist of having a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in hotel, restaurant or retail management. Profit and loss, budgeting experience, sales background and rate/yield management experiences are preferred. The most important requirement is having an attitude and drive for success. Each Assistant General Manager is expected to have a passion for providing exceptional service, and an independent business mind.
