Manager of Internal Audit
US - CO - Greenwood Village

Based at our Greenwood Village Home Office and reporting to the VP Internal Audit & CAE you will deliver high quality and efficient audit services along with executing audits focused on operational, system and financial internal controls, asset safeguarding, loss prevention, and compliance with policy, laws and regulations.

You will help to determine the focus of the internal audit function, via the maintenance of a risk based plan and participate in the ERM process, Asset Protection (Loss Prevention) program, SOX compliance and special projects at the request of the Audit Committee, Senior Management, or General Counsel.

Other Duties Include:

Provide internal audit, loss prevention and risk management services to help management achieve the company’s business objectives.
Perform individual internal audit projects, as part of the total internal audit plan with thorough knowledge of principles, procedures, and techniques of auditing, accounting, and operations.
Develop and implement standardized audit procedures for scope definition, risk and control analysis, testing, identifying improvement opportunities, work paper documentation, report writing, issue tracking and management presentations.
Perform investigations associated with loss detection at the restaurant level, including data monitoring and/or site visits.
Review internal controls over financial reporting, as required by the Sarbanes Oxley Act.
Use of data analysis tools and techniques to support audit recommendations.
Develop, train and mentor audit staff to provide superior internal audit and risk management services.
Maintain strong relationships with business unit leadership and communicate emerging best practices.
Provide counsel on new business developments, new system implementations and other strategic initiatives to ensure internal controls are considered and designed into the process, thus ensuring the likelihood of success.
Assist management in the development of policies and procedures that establish the standards for compliance and business operations.
Maintain audit issue tracking that provides senior management and Audit Committee timely and relevant information on audit and compliance issues.

Requirements:

5+ years experience (including planning and managing audits) in Big 4 Public Accounting, internal audit outsourcing firm and/or corporate internal audit experience in Fortune 1000 company required.
CPA, CIA, or CISA preferred.
Restaurant industry experience preferred.
Loss prevention / fraud investigation experience required.
ACL/Access or similar data analytics experience required.
Sarbanes-Oxley experience required.
Understanding of emerging audit and risk management concepts models required.
Understanding of information technology and its implications for business commerce and managing and controlling business operations required.
Passion for improving the business and developing others.
Energetic and effective communicator able to work with executive management and directors.
Strong relationship builder, who knows how to pro-actively identify opportunities or problems, facilitates understanding and solution development.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.  Strong business and common sense.
Responsible for making audit conclusions and recommendations on their own projects.  Takes ownership of their own work product
