We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Front Office Supervisor at the Courtyard by Marriott, Cromwell, CT and are actively looking to meet the best and brightest talent that the hospitality industry has to offer. Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
* Maintain Waterford Hotel Group service standards as well as all department policies and procedures.
* Assist in attracting, hiring, developing and retaining associates including interviewing, training, recognition, counseling, and regular performance evaluation
* Direct and train front desk staff and bell staff to exceed guest expectations
* Review arrivals and check that all VIPs and special requests have been pre-blocked appropriately.
* Attend weekly "Staff" and "Revenue" meetings.
* Ensure communication of priorities to associates through relaying all pertinent information from weekly meetings as appropriate.
* Maintain open lines of communication with all other departments.
* Create weekly schedule.
* Monitor payroll and productivity and implement actions to ensure goal achievement.
* Maintain procedures for ensuring shift closing are correct and all transactions balance.
* Manage strict room inventory to achieve highest possible room occupancy percentage.
* Manage guest accounts to ensure correct rates are being applied, appropriate rate authorization is obtained where necessary, and a method of payment is being received.
* Review incoming groups and ensure all blocking needs and front office requirements are met and relay information to appropriate associates.
* Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of all work space and storage areas.
* Perform other assignments as requested.

Courtya* A minimum of 1 to 2 years of hotel front office supervisory experience preferred; Ideal candidate is currently a Front Office Supervisor of a similar property.
* Strong customer relations skills and leadership capability.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
* Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
* Proficient computer user, previous experience with reservation system strongly preferred.
* Ability to interpret statistical reports and financial information.
* Ability to make quick decisions, problem solve to achieve guest satisfaction while ensuring compliance with policy and financial standards.
* High School or equivalent education required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
