SUMMARY The Sheraton Pleasanton is currently seeking a Sales Manager- SMERF. This Position will sell the meeting and sleeping facilities and services of the hotel in accordance with strategic objectives and selective selling guidelines to meet and exceed driven Group revenue components. The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. EDUCATION Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; or two-four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, guests and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
