Crowne Plaza Houston near Reliant Park/Medical Center is currently searching for an experienced Catering and Group Sales Associates to handle the National and State markets. Our Sales Managers are expected to be entrepreneurial, self starters that thrive on achieving results well above that of the competition.

Responsibilities:
Proactively identifies and solicits new sources of room's related business by aggressively making outside sales calls.
Develops relationships with clients.
Works with revenue manager/ DOSM to maximize group room ADR and food and beverage revenue.
Establishes a strong working relationship with brand corporate sales team Full working knowledge of Delphi is a plus.
Conducts property customer site tours.
Prepares proposals and contracts to sell and contract business.

*Ideal candidates must be able to represent the Hotel at industry and trade Functions

*Established relationships in the market is a plus!

* Execute strategic sales plans to maximize revenue.
* Meet sales goals through the development of new customers, new groups as well as nurturing existing client relationships.
* Contribute to regularly scheduled meetings with the General Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing to discuss future bookings, booking pace, and forecasts.
* Prepare and submit timely and relevant sales reports to the General Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing regarding plans, activities, progress of current strategies and future strategies.
* Maintain individual booking pace.
* Manage daily schedule to achieve 25% strategic administrative time and 75% tactical sales execution time.

*3-5 years experience required.
At least three to five years of based experience as a sales manager at a full service hotel selling to State
A proven track record of achieving quarterly and annual sales targets
Strong sales prospecting and closing skills
A confident and positive attitude
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships
Projects a professional image
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Team player
Excellent time management and personal organizational skills
