Bacara Resort & Spa is currently searching for an experienced and dynamic Training & Development Manager to join our team of hospitality professionals. This position will be responsible for directing and administering the training and professional development function in the resort's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service. Qualified candidate will possess at least five years of Operations management experience at upscale resort/hotel or comparable setting with at least 3 years progressive Training & Development experience. Ideal candidate will also possess knowledge of Human Resources field. Must be bilingual (English and Spanish) in order to proficiently serve our employee population. Bachelor's degree required, higher education preferred; computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Outlook, outstanding written and verbal communication skills; working knowledge of State and Federal employment laws a must; strong job stability and impeccable references.
- Oversee and administer all training and professional development functions to include, but not limited to, creating and/or developing course content, facilitating and/or conducting training sessions/workshops, planning and implementing resort training initiatives, conducting needs assessments, measuring training effectiveness
- Evaluate, revise and/or re-develop existing training as needed to ensure they are continuously effective and aligned with resort strategy
- Managing and implementing management internship training programs
- Conducting new team member orientation - English and Spanish
- Plan and conduct meetings with department managers to review performance trends and to develop appropriate actions plans
- Maintain annual training budget
- Track, input, maintain and audit all individual team member training records to ensure full compliance with established resort standards
- Develop an annual training calendar and compile periodic reports (i.e. monthly, quarterly) of training activity
- Ensure compliance with Federal and State Training Requirements
- Knowledge of Mobile and Forbes standards of service
- Assist with Human Resource functions as needed and assigned
