SUMMARY:
To ensure that guests receive clean and spotless china, silverware and glassware. To provide the cooks, bussers, bartenders and servers with support and assistance. To keep all areas clean, dry and safe for other workers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operate al kitchen equipment.
Wash dishes, glassware, etc., by hand when necessary.
Restock all supplies.
Keep area in kitchen clean and free of debris and water.
Stock any deliveries received in a timely and safe manner.
Remove all trash and debris from restaurant routinely.
Assist other restaurant personnel with tasks when necessary.

None.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Less than high school education; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, menus, and customer requests. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simply one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee works near mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to heat. The Dishwasher will need to handle kitchen utensils, such as knives, glasses, etc. Floors may be slippery. Must carry large, heavy items such as dishes in tubs or trays, which must be cautiously positioned and transported. Broken glass or broken dishes can occur. Hot liquids and chemical cleaning solutions are present and must be carefully handled.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
