Position: Public Relations & Marketing Coordinator - Internship

Position Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator - Intern is a self-motivated, highly organized and customer-service oriented individual with varied skill sets in marketing, public relations and office administration.

The Marketing Coordinator - Intern is responsible for working side-by-side with the Public Relations Director and Director of Marketing to meticulously coordinate all details of media visits, including pre-planning, press materials and updating marketing materials and archives. The position is the first team member with whom guests and vendors interact, and it is critical that she maintain a positive attitude while building internal and external client relationships. 

The Marketing Coordinator - Intern is responsible for providing support to the Marketing and PR Department via: inquiry management, record maintenance, expense and invoice tracking, and project trafficking. 

Additionally, the Marketing Coordinator - Intern works directly with external agencies, alongside other resources, including Loews’ internal departments to execute day-to-day initiatives.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understands hospitality and general travel industry standards
  • Detail-oriented
  • Highly organized
  • Takes proactive approach to daily tasks
  • Technology driven with ability to assimilate new software systems quickly
  • Ability to work in a high-paced work environment, handling multiple initiatives and tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Strong sense of the social media landscape
  • Spanish language communications skills a plus 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communication or related field preferred.

 PRIOR EXPERIENCE:

  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Experience with photo shoot and video shoot coordination preferred
  • Proficient with social media
  • Proficient in press release copy writing and proofreading
