Le Montrose Suite Hotel, A luxury boutique Hotel in West Hollywood is seeking qualified candidates to join our interactive team in the position of Bell Captain, 5 days/nights a week, including weekend nights.
Applicant must be able to work flexible hours/Clean DMV record and ability to drive standard transmission vehicles mandatory.
Supervise, schedule & train, and maintain daily operations of the Bellman/Valet staff; promoting a safe environment and quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction. Assist and make recommendations to the Front Office Manager in the areas of conducting performance evaluations as appropriate. Welcome and escort arriving and departing guests in a friendly, courteous manner to and from their room accommodations, parking & retrieving guest vehicles, as well as providing general information regarding the hotel and local attractions; maintaining an even flow of guest luggage and belongings to and from guest rooms and providing storage of the luggage in a prompt and safe manner; providing personal & professional service to guests for their business and concierge needs.
Experience required by position is from six months to one full year of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).
BASIC PURPOSE:
Supervise the daily operations of the Bellman/Valet staff; promoting a safe environment and quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Supervise the Bellman/Valet staff in order to attract, retain and motivate them while providing a safe work environment; schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel staff. (20%)
2. Assist and make recommendations to the Front Office Manager in the areas of conducting performance evaluations, discipline and termination’s as appropriate. (5%)
3. Coordinate guest service efforts to include group arrivals and departures, guest transportation and valet parking service while maximizing the guest experience through top quality customer service. (10%)
4. Coordinate and supervise the activities and foster good relations with the car rental companies, taxi services, tour and travel companies, limo services, etc. to provide the maximum level of quality service. (10%)
5. Provide information and assist staff in recommending area restaurants, theaters, community events, activities, etc. to ensure optimum guest satisfaction. (10%)
6. Greet guests, offer assistance with check-in/check-out, deliver laundry and store luggage. (25%)
7. Provide guest transportation as required by hotel LSOPs. (5%)
8. Order all supplies and maintain inventory control minimizing unnecessary expenses. (5%)
9. Follow-up on any complaints, problems a guest may experience in a timely and professional fashion to ensure a quality guest experience. (5%)
10. Implement emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel's guests, staff and company assets. (5%)
