The Assistant F&B Manager will:

Plan and manage the Restaurant, Room Service and other food and beverage outlets as appropriate in order to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance policies and procedures while meeting/exceeding financial goals. 

Represents the Restaurant , Banquet, and Beverage outlets for all day-to-day operational needs by listening actively and communicate clearly while interacting with customers to promote food products and directing staff activities. Analyze feedback from clients and employees, make judgments and take action to implement suggestions for improvement. Maintain working rapport with all Hotel staff for efficient operation and service to customers

Check the employee schedule on weekly basis to ensure adequate coverage and wage cost control.

Maintain adequate supply of paper, china, glass, silver and uniforms in operation and perpetual stocks to be established and maintained in outlets.

Ensure that all expenses, including payroll, are controlled in relation to the sales.

Ensure standard operation procedures are followed in restaurant, bar and room service.

Supervise and direct restaurant service plans and actions to achieve improved operations, overcome deficiencies, and instigate necessary changes.

Daily inspection of restaurant and readiness according to standards and cleanliness.

Handle guest complaints immediately in the most diplomatic manner.

Keep storerooms in a state of readiness, cleanliness and tidiness.  Maintain weekly inventory of all controllables.

Conduct daily meetings, help to create/maintain sales incentives and help manage current marketing, programs, events and contribute in on-going development. A creative, out of the box mentality is key!

Ensure excellence and consistency with all audit items, including safety, sanitation, and accounting issues.

Identify and address performance and training issues with the team.

Create a positive and fun work environment where high-performers will thrive.

Assist the culinary team in maintaining and improving all aspects of kitchen operations including food quality, presentations, par levels, cleanliness and organization. 

Candidate Requirements:

At least two (2) years supervisory experience in upscale casual, high volume environments. 

Hotel and/or banquet experience a plus, but certainly not mandatory. Bi-lingual a plus, but certainly not required.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required.

Flexible availability - this is a hotel and we are open every day of the year and server breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Have reliable transportation, able to lift up to 40 pounds, able to be on your feet for most of the shift, possess proper documentation to work in the United States.

Fun, outgoing, upbeat, positive mind set is essential! We want our guests to have fun, we want our staff to have fun!

Able to enforce standards, ethics and code of conduct in a positive and professional manner.

MUST be able to manage multiple events, tasks, projects at the same time - multi-tasking is important.

Have the vision to recognize small deficiencies as well as see the over all vision for the different operations.
