Job Description

Rim Hospitality in Newport Beach is currently seeking a Corporate Sale & Marketing Assistant. This position will provide support for Regional Sales, Marketing & Revenue Management team in developing/implementing key strategies and objectives for company and hotels to drive measurable, top line revenues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Administrative Support to team including research, analysis, and projects as directed.
  • Coordinate Hotel Brand Sales & Marketing Initiatives.
  • Hotel Website Analysis Support and other eCommerce analysis with Online Travel Agencies (Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz and Opaque Channels)
  • Assists regionals and hotels in monitoring marketing promotions.
  • Generates weekly and monthly marketing reporting.
  • Assists with social media outlets.
  • Answers and returns sales and marketing phone calls. Routes or handles them accordingly.
  • Occasionally runs errands relating to projects.

Fulfillment and Support:

  • Ensure the effective integration of national marketing initiatives at the local/regional level through supported corporate & brand programs.
  • Effective Communication with regional, hotel teams and/or stakeholders the return on the effort given the fulfillment of strategy
  • Establish tracking procedures to ensure the measurement of all field marketing and/or sales initiatives, and report to Regional Sales Team
  • Understanding and communication of companies resources to aid teams
  • Collaboration with Brand Regional Sales team to guarantee a unified and seamless process to clients (*if applicable)
Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelors degree or Business relevant field of work is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience in hotel operations.

Experience

2+ years progressive work-related experience, including the development and execution of tactical sales programs (business plans) as well as regional or multi-hotel corporate experience.

Preferred Technical skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated sales and marketing acumen that includes; multi-hotel sales responsibilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and sales principles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hotel operations.
  • Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale marketing projects from conception through implementation.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff. Demonstrated ability to communicate supportive program details (presentation, analysis) to present a persuasive argument or effectively negotiate a position.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of training principles and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience with industry and market trends as they relate to revenue opportunities, and demonstrated ability to develop or manage programs to effectively drive revenue in a specific local market.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks/clients required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Majority of work is performed in a normal office environment
  • Ability to travel as needed to facilitate business objectives that may include at specific hotel, participate in sales blitz, trade show and other.
  • Must have ability to be accessible via computer and/or cell phone in case of emergency in area of responsibility.
