Description

MHC Culinary Group seeks experienced assistant operations manager - banquets to manage the activities of onsite and offsite catering, with primary responsibility for managing and actively participating in the hiring, training, scheduling, discipline, positive reinforcement and evaluation of performance for all banquet supervisors and banquet attendants within the operations department.  Other responsibilities include; exemplifying the company's culture by embracing the mission and values and ensuring compliance with company standard and procedures.

Requirements

The qualified candidate has a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a high-volume, catering food and beverage environment.

  • Must possess excellent organizational, problem solving and planning skills
  • Must have the ability to manage extensive amounts of information, multiple projects, meet and work effectively under time and resource constraints and be highly self motivated

  • Must possess strong ethics and honest behavior
  • Must possess good computer skills; proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, Point-of-Sale applications and payroll computer software
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends
