The CROWNE PLAZA DENVER has an immediate opening for an ASSISTANT FRONT OFFICE MANAGER! We are seeking a motivated leader with at least two years of experience in hotel front desk management.

The Assistant Front Office Manager will provide supervision and leadership in the Front Office to achieve the brand and hotel culture objectives, performance, and quality standards. Candidates must have exceptional guest service skills and prior supervisory experience in a hotel with comparable standards. In this key role, you will primarily be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Front Desk, Guest Services, Bell and Concierge, including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, payroll, and guest relations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage day-to-day Front Office operations and maintain department operating procedures.
- Supervise employees and employee/guest relationship.
- Assist with staff training, development, counseling, and disciplining.
- Help with staff scheduling and verify schedule is adequate for business needs.
- Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service by embracing and executing a service culture at all times.
- Supervise, direct, coordinate, and influence staff to maintain the culture of service.
- Work closely with Housekeeping Operations to control out-of-orders and discrepant rooms.
- Maintain proper credit and cash bank procedures and supervise all agents on closing paper work and money drops.
- Assist with ordering operating supplies and maintain uniform inventories and conditions.
- Conduct monthly department meeting, stand up meetings, and shift change and attend pre-convention meetings.
- Greet VIP's upon arrival and coordinate Front Office activities with Guest Relations and other departments for all VIPs.
- Ensure employees are wearing proper uniforms and adhering to grooming standards.
- Handle employee issues and complaints.
- Respond in a courteous, professional, and rapid manner to resolve all guest and staff issues.
- Help with yearly departmental goals related to payroll, expenses, staffing levels, guest service, etc.
- Assist in a proper On-boarding process with all new employees and keep track of attendance and tardiness records for employees.
- Special projects and duties as needed.
* At least 2+ years of front office experience as a supervisory or manager.
* Computer skills, Excel, MS Word, and Opera preferred.
* Basic math skills.
* Excellent communication skills with ability to inspire culture of service excellence.
* Ability to lead and manage team.
* Guest service oriented.
* Able to multi-task, handle competing priorities without loss of efficiencies or details.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be able to work seated and standing for at least 8 hours.
* Periodical fast paced strides are required to go from one part of the property to another.
* Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
* Must be able to move, pull, carry and lift at least 40 pounds.
* Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb is required.
