Position: Director of Marketing

Position Summary:

Works with all leadership team, sales and marketing team and operating departments to develop and produce an vibrant and 4-Diamond AND MORE hotel experience.  This position requires a progressive sales and marketing executive, a strong leader who can develop and implement ongoing strategic initiatives that will positively impact hotel revenues and profits. Responsible for hands-on leadership of the following departments: Sales, Revenue Management, Public Relations, Reservations, and Marketing Departments.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 

Development and execution of the overall Sales & Marketing plan for the entire operation, including the food and beverage outlets and Ocean Spa & Fitness Center. 

Plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the strategy of the sales and revenue team in accordance with Loews Hotels Sales and Service Standards and corporate budgetary and profit guidelines.

Assists the Managing Director in the development of annual hotel sales and operating budget with the involvement of the Executive Assistant Manager and Director of Finance.

Develop annual strategic marketing plan which includes market initiatives by segment.

Develop market initiatives, promotions, packages, and ad campaigns to ensure successful consumer response and positively impact market yield and revenue par.

Handle high visibility accounts that can affect all of Loews Hotels, where applicable.

Participate in key industry events that bring national exposure

Participate in key sites inspections, FAM and client events.

Conduct relevant travel as mentioned in marketing plan.


 

Required Skills and Experience:

Minimum five years experience as Director of Marketing of a large four-star or four-diamond luxury or upper upscale hotel or resort or other related experience.

Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred. 

Excellent planning, organization, sales, and guest service skills.

Outstanding communication, networking, negotiating skills, along with organizational and presentation skills required.

Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of hotels operations.

Proven track record in the hotel industry demonstrating achievement of outstanding profit, revenue and guest service related goals.

Able to travel as needed and work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
