POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

TITLE: Tourism Coordinator – Tourism Development

DEPARTMENT: Tourism Development

REPORTS TO: VP, Tourism

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position serves as the primary coordination point for all administrative support of the tourism development team, including internal and external communications. The successful performance of the position directly affects the efficiency of the worldwide Tourism operation of our company.   

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support for the tourism development team members.
    • Meeting scheduling, logistical coordination as well as generating meeting agenda and minutes
    • Travel and logistical arrangements
    • Accurate and timely database entry and lead generation and database management
    • Project filing
    • Timely expense report generation and invoice process
    • Sales mission and other project preparation assistance
    • Work with Tourism Development team to prepare reporting materials
    • Generate and organize various reports and presentations
  • Prepare and assist execution of international familiarization trips and site visits.
  • Work with international offices to fulfill their needs
  • Participate at organization’s functions as requested, which may occur outside of regular business hours. 
  • Schedule coordination for the tourism development team members
  • Perform additional duties as requested.

QUALIFICATION:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience in related area
  • Knowledge of advanced computer word processing and excellent database software skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
  • Additional language skills preferred
  • Detail and hospitality-oriented and flexible person, adaptable to a multi-cultural work environment
