Job Description

Omni San Diego Hotel is looking for a full-time Banquet
Captain to join its Banquets team. This role performs
the following duties:

- Supervises the Banquets team
- Coordinates all food and beverage services during
events
- Conducts all pre-event meetings for Banquets staff
- Trains Banquets associates
- Actively engages in interdepartmental communication
with Sales, Kitchen, etc.
- Acts as point-of-contact for hotel clients during
events
- Maintains banquet equipment
- Ensures accuracy of event billing
- Ensures strict compliance to all laws regarding food
safety and alcohol service
- Regularly assists Director of Banquets with department
operations

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following
requirements:

- At least 3 years of food and beverage experience,
preferrably in Banquets
- At least 1 year of Banquet Captain experience, or
related food and beverage supervisory experience

- Must have excellent verbal and written communication
skills in English
- Must be able to maintain strong attention to detail in
a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including
days, late nights, holidays and weekends

- Must have basic computing skills
- Experience working in a luxury hotel (4 or 5 diamond
rating), preferred
- Experience working in a large hotel (20,000+ sq. ft.
meeting space) with multiple event spaces, preferred
- Strong Delphi experience, preferred
- Micros experience, preferred
