Position: Director of Revenue Management
Position Summary:
The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for the management of all aspects of revenue generation at the property to include pricing, distribution, promotions, group evaluation, leisure and corporate revenue production, food & beverage sales, market penetration. This effort includes working directly with the DOM of property as a business partner in the execution of rate strategies through distribution channels and within the daily operation of a very busy group base hotel. The position requires a strong history in group hotel management. This position also plays a critical role in the development of and the accuracy of forecasting of both rooms and food and beverage opportunities. You will be required to maintain effective relationships with all associates throughout the property both by offering support and direction while maximizing total revenue opportunities.
Management of Business Strategy - Leadership
* Effectively communicate Loews Hotels recommended Revenue Management philosophies as they pertain to the home property
* Understand and comply with Home Office Revenue Management initiatives and philosophies
Management of Business Strategy -
* Execution of the next 365 date strategy
* Weekly execution of the 14 day forecast
* Implementation of all recommended pricing strategies
* Monitors weekly Special Event dates for the ideal market mix for maximization of revenues.
* Manages IDEAS revenue management system - follows daily / weekly checklists
* Monitor and maintain price position within comp set.
* Complete weekly Revenue Strategy packet
* Formulate Revenue Reports as needed
* Manage extranets
* Maintain Rate Availability Calendars
* Understanding of ORS Restrictions
* Comply with Home Office Revenue Strategies
* Assist in Rate loading Process
* Working Understanding of GDS Systems
* Attend Business Review Daily
* Submit Transient Rate Loading Forms to Distribution
* Manage Room Type Inventory in ORS
* Maintain SSG/MAR rates and update on regular basis
* Work with RDRM on Budget Process
* Establish HOT Dates
* Oversee / Manage Group Revenue manager
* Manage Transient Protected / Group Allottments
* Approve Cutoff Date Adjustments
* Approve Increase over Block
* Monitor and Communicate Group Issues that Affect Transient Strategies
* Print and review Daily Booking Transaction recap and identify instances where SSG/MAR strategy is not being followed
* Daily monitoring of group and transient room inventory to ensure straight-line availability and the maximization of revenue potential for all room categories
* Other projects and tasks as assigned by RDRM
Management of Group Business Strategy
* Work closely with DOM on group booking strategies, yielding and forecasting of all revenue impacting areas of group business to include both rooms and F&B
* Lead Group Pickup Meeting
* Review Group History vs Blocks vs Contracts
* Manage, Approve Group Wash and Blind Cuts
* Work with Conference Service Managers on all Groups to ensure maximization of revenues.
* Manage Tentative / Prospect Decision Dates
* Manage the Group Attrition process to ensure all funds collected where warranted.
* Establish F&B Minimums with DOM and DOCS
* Analyze and offer suggestions to increase ROGR to DOM and DOC
* Ensures that Group inventory is being held in accordance to standard Operating procedures during the contracting phase as well as execution to final delivery.
* Reviews and gives recommendations to DOM and DOS on Concession packages
* Responsible for the completion of the Sales Month End Report
* Responsible for all Delphi Reporting and Training
* Manages the Delphi / Opera Interface
* AD Hoc reporting in Delphi as requested
* Responsible for the Group Forecasting portion of the LE and Budget process
* Function Space Controller with assistance of DOM
* Group Space yield based on established group booking guidelines.
* Executes the monthly Association / City Wide Calendar
* Works with DOM on the Market Mix Model
* Creates Crystal Reports as needed.
Management of Business Strategy- Technical
* Understand the working relationship between all systems related to room inventory.
* Ensure that technical related questions relating to all systems related to room inventory are escalated to the correct support destination in a timely manner
* Manual reporting as necessary for the purposes of analysis/feedback
Required Skills and Experience:
The position requires 3 - 5+ years of Strategic Planning or Director of Revenue Management Experience. Qualified candidates must have a proven track record of increasing market share and managing inventories effectively in a group hotel environment. The ideal candidate must also be analytical, action-oriented, and possess strong decision-making capabilities. Expertise in strategic planning, yields, group/ transient ratios, and forecasting a must. Candidates must also be determined leaders, able to motivate and lead in a team environment, while maintaining desired guest satisfaction scores and Hotel standards.
