Position: Security Officer

Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring personal safety of all guests, employees and visitors. Protects hotel, employees and guest property from theft, misuse and vandalism.

Required Skills and Experience:

This position is On Call. Must be fluent in English (read, write and speak). HS Diploma or equivalent preferred. Good writing and report taking skill required. Two years prior security experience required, preferably one of those years in a hotel environment. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and able to make appropriate decisions in difficult situations. Previous use of walkie talkies an asset. Knowledge of innkeeper law an asset. Must be able to walk for extended periods of time. Must be flexible to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. Must be customer-service orientated, and have excellent hospitality skills.
