Position: Guest Room Attendant

Position Summary:

Cleans and sanitizes all assigned guest rooms and guest bathrooms. Clean guest room windows and balcony to hotel standards. Replaces all amenities and linens according to hotel standards. Keeps cart and linen closets clean and orderly. Notifies Supervisors/Managers of discrepancies. Turns in lost and found items as per department standard. Uses equipment and supplies in an appropriate and professional manner. Completes special cleaning projects. Satisfies guests requests for information and service. Communicates guest complaints to Supervisor/Manager.Is polite, friendly and helpful to the guests, management and fellow team members. Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions. Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area. Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards. Complies with safety regulations and procedures. Complies with hotel policies. Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

Previous Housekeeping experience highly preferred.  

High school diploma an asset.   Previous housekeeping experience an asset.  Basic English skills required.  Must be able to clean 15 guest rooms. Must be able to push cart weighing up to 150 pounds.   This position requires bending, lifting, and stooping.   Must be flexible to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.  Must be customer-service orientated and have excellent hospitality skills.
