Responsible for cooking food according to oral or written orders received from other food service employees.

 

Other Job Tasks:

  • Work with other staff members to keep the kitchen clean, organized and ready for service.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Follow orders from supervisor on how to prepare and cook food products.
  • Able to produce high volume, high quality work by gauging production levels and monitoring timing of work tasks.
  • Insure all food is kept at proper holding temperatures.
  • Cook food using proper techniques and maintaining food quality.
  • Load food in hot boxes by plating or placing in inserts for buffet, or place food on queen mary and allocate to proper location with service staff.
  • Shows understanding and practices proper sanitation and health/safety standards in the kitchen.  Cleans and maintains equipment.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekdays, holidays and weekends.
